Our bariatric program is staffed by a dedicated multidisciplinary team of medical professionals including bariatric surgeons, obesity medicine physicians, dietitians, diabetes educators, physical therapists, a wellness coach, nurses and a support group facilitator. We also have a bariatric coordinator to help guide patients through the weight loss process and provide ongoing education and support. Our team will help you achieve your long-term health and weight loss goals.
Meet our Physicians
Andrew Martin, M.D.
Andrew Martin, M.D., is a bariatric surgeon and board-certified general surgeon experienced in a range of bariatric surgical procedures including minimally invasive surgery.
He attended medical school at Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, and completed his residency at the Summa Akron City Hospital in Akron, Ohio.
Dr. Martin’s has performed hundreds of bariatric surgeries and enjoys supporting his patients throughout the process.
Blake Hood, D.O.
Blake Hood, D.O., specializes in all types of general surgery and bariatric surgery.
He attended medical school at the A. T. Still University’s Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, and completed his residency at the McLaren General Surgery Consortium in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
Vinay Tumuluri, M.D.
Vinay Tumuluri is an internal medicine physician who is board certified in obesity medicine.
He enjoys working with patients to meet their healthcare goals and manage their chronic medical conditions.
An internal medicine physician with more than 18 years of experience, Dr. Tumuluri is passionate about working with patients to help them reach a healthy weight. He also understands the link between excess weight and conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, high cholesterol, joint problems, sleep apnea and type 2 diabetes. He obtained certification through the American Board of Obesity Medicine and now specializes in treating individuals who need to lose significant weight in order to reduce or eliminate their chronic conditions.
Dr. Tumuluri's board certification in obesity medicine was granted based on his knowledge of the genetic, biologic, environmental, social and behavioral factors that can contribute to obesity. He recommends a number of therapeutic interventions to help individuals achieve weight loss, including bariatric surgery when appropriate.
He attended medical school at the Armed Forces Medical College University of Poona – India and completed his residency in internal medicine at Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois.
